Asit Poddar, born in Calcutta in 1955, studied painting, design, and photography at Calcutta Art College. He received a scholarship to the International Animation Institute in Tokyo and had numerous exhibitions in India, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan,, Greece, Italy, and Austria. His works are held in collections worldwide, and he was awarded by the Bombay Art Society and the Indian.
