Ganga Maiya Trio
It was as only as recent as 2016 on a visit to the Dhrupad Mela in Benares that Geetha & Gopal Navale discovered the mystical beauty of the river Ganga and the ghats of the worlds oldest living city and have been since mesmerised by its spirit and are visiting annually.

The bouquet of songs on the album Boat on the River was inspired by the Ganga Maiya Trio's visit to Benares in 2023.

On Shivaratri 2023 the lyric of the song Ganga Maiya was envisioned on the terrace of Tulsi Ghat Varanasi.
And it was that very place where the trio performed to celebrate the album release on Shivaratri of 2024.

Paper Boats with QR codes leading to the music were let into the Ganga to release the album
And lo! Shiva Rea was there in attendance and invited the band to the Golden Boat waiting there for a sundown cruise with apsaras...

The song's stirred Kolkata's acclaimed artist Asit Poddar who shared copies of his amazing series of paintings on the Ganga Ghats.
He graciously permitted to use his paintings in this tribute to the muse of muses. Ganga Ji
The spectacular paintings have been animated by Prajjwal Vinodh in the Ganga Maiya song video, And his team Nomadic Studio have designed a square collage which folds into a boat.
